Project Description
Plasma-assisted combustion: towards applications for gas turbines
Over the last decade, non-thermal plasmas have shown good potential for applications in gas turbines and aero-engines. More specifically they were successfully used to control thermo-acoustic instabilities in several configurations at atmospheric pressure. However, are they a realistic option for real gas turbine applications? What do we need to know, next, to evaluate these plasma actuators?
