Project Description
Advanced methods for the monitoring of practical combustion equipment
The development of diagnostic methods suitable for the supervision and control of practical flames is an important objective for the combustion industry, which is receiving considerable attention. The most promising approaches as well as some of the main challenges will be discussed in light of recent results in this area.
Javier Ballester is a Professor of Fluid Mechanics at the Engineering and Architecture School of the University of Zaragoza. His research interests include a wide range of topics related to applied combustion, such as the combustion of solid and liquid fuels, thermoacoustic instabilities and the development of monitoring methods for practical flames.
